Mr. Bak : I thought it was gonna be the next blockbuster, the most expensive movie ever made, action-packed, non-stop thriller...etc..
Carrie : Yeah, sigh.. it was so boring at the beginning. Almost fell asleep on your shoulders. Lol
Mr. Bak : Really? I didnt notice. Was too busy waiting for something good to happen
Carrie : Jessica Biel was hot though! Especially when she's under those sheets and behind that towel!
Mr. Bak : Lol. As usual, thats all you noticed. I only liked the part where they go on a search to find her (Liz) and Cris Johnson uses his abilities to avoid all possible mishaps.
Carrie : I liked the part where he uses his power to court Liz too. Haha
Mr. Bak : Yeah! That would be useful. But overall it was an anti-climax.
Carrie : What? You didn't climax?
Mr. Bak : No no. I mean the movie was an anti-climax. Lol
Carrie : Would you like to have that power? You find it useful?
Mr. Bak : Not really. Except when I wanna check whether my pick-up line works or not! Lol!

Champions League @ The Curve |
Went to the Curve today, after having one of the worst value for money lunch at 'Jimmy's Place'. Chicken Chop was okay actually, but for the rather small portion. Went to Cineleisure for the first time, wanting to watch Mr. Bean's holiday, so we queued up. As we were approaching the counter, the screen above us suddenly says its sold out! So we watched Unholy Matrimony instead.. Scary.. But there was a stupid fat bitch behind us who kept laughing non-stop.
Anyway, to the main reason why I'm at the Curve, the Champions League trophy! The actual original real one. Sadly we had to have to enter a stupid contest to be able to win a pass to actually get to take a photo with it. There were too many people, and it was getting pretty late, so, sigh.. a photo from afar is good enough I guess. Joey G and Jojo were the emcee for the event. Jojo looks handsome from close range (I'm not gay).
Saw Harith Iskandar having his sweet dinner at Empress Cafe (where I had my Valentine's dinner). He has good taste!

Happy Birthday Carrie! |
Today's Carrie's birthday!
Happy Birthday Carrie!!!
I gave her a RM 50 voucher. Lol
Anyway went to One Utama, Ikano, The Curve in the morning with Kasthuri as well. 1U was surprisingly quiet today. Hardly anyone there which was odd cause most of the time it was packed like crazy.
No people = No fun.
So after we had lunch at Secret Recipe, ( I had Chicken Cordon Bleu while Carrie and Kas had Tom Yum Noodles ) , we went to Parkson Grand in 1U to put some make up on Carrie. Lol. Well it wasn't us, but it was free, and she looked really beautiful with it. We then headed to the Curve and Ikano. Curve was pretty boring too but Carrie used her voucher to buy a pretty silver necklace. Kas bought a necklace too, with the letter K on it.
Next, we headed to Ikano. Carrie used the voucher again to buy a cute pair of sandals. As we were about to pay, Carrie decided to apply to be a Padini member. The registration fee is RM 10, and it comes with a voucher worth RM 10 which you can use immediately. Simple, right? No.
Sandals - RM 19.90 Registration - RM 10.00 Total - RM 29.90
I gave the sales guy RM 30, and we were supposed to get back RM 10.10 because we decided to use the RM 10 voucher. But he insisted on NOT giving the RM 10 and insisted that we had to pay RM 29.90. We kinda argued for awhile until another salesgirl came to our rescue and knock some maths into his head. Even after we left he still couldn't get it!
Carrie used to remainder of the voucher for Ice-Cream and a Fila handbag.
We went to Ikea next, looking for ideas for our 'dream home' which is we plan to live together once we resume studying. We found the most comfortable sofa in the world and sat there for over 30 minutes!
Had to go back early cause Carrie had a dinner event with her aunts.

SMK USJ 12 |
Funny how life works.
I first thought about teaching in St. John's after I finished my form 6 as a temporary teacher. I told Carrie about my idea, and she thought it'll be a good idea too. So she asked her aunt who was a teacher. Her aunt happens to be a friend of Pn. Teo, who is a teacher in SMK USJ 12.
So here we are. The 4 of us.
There we were, as a matter of fact. As of this day we're no longer teachers in that school. As an echo of my farewell speech earlier today, it was an unbelievable experience. Unbelievable because only a few months ago we were students, cursing our own teachers, and now, here we are, being teachers ourselves.
In many ways, SMK USJ 12 exceeded my expectations as a school. I come from a premier school in St John's, yet SMK USJ 12 is so different ; unique in their very own way. I enjoyed the rapport in the staffroom. The other teachers were simply brilliant in lending their support and guidance in any way possible. I enjoyed the facilities; there were 3 computers with printers and internet access, a sink and a mirror, with its cool cosy atmosphere.
Students. Where do I start? Lol.
I was first being assigned the KH subject for the boys (which I particularly hated as a student). I remember being so excited an enthusiastic about it, but I was disappointed for not being able to fully go ahead with my teaching, as this school lack BM teachers, and I had to enter countless of relief classes. I was teaching, 2 Delphi, 2 Explorer, 2 Genesis, 2 Lycos, and a few Form 1 classes at that time.
I decided that instead of wasting my time, I applied to take BM and PJ (my fav subject ever!) since many classes do not have a BM teacher. My classes were now 2 Explorer, 2 Genesis, 2 Finnix and 2 Midori. I also teach PJ for 2E/2F and 2M/2O. I have to admit, BM ain't my strongest art, but anything goes. It was hard, due to the fact that I hardly ever speak in BM. But I enjoyed it immensely nevertheless. It helped alot that Carrie was also teaching BM.
2 Explorer Likeabality : A - I like this class actually. Noise Level : B - Never too noisy, never too quiet. Discipline problem : B+ - Ashvir and Zechary were said to be able to give problems, but they were surprisingly fine. Occasionally late passing up of homeworks here and there, but generally fine. Students : B+ - The twins were a fun to teach, Jin Yew is over-enthusiastic as usual, Nawwal is good in Syair, the Monitor is blur and Daniel has the worst hand-writting ever. Scrap Books : A - Has few of the best scrap books I've seen.
2 Finnix Likeabality : A - Surprisingly good. The first class I entered as a BM teacher. Class I like the most. Noise Level : B - Generally okay, but sometimes worse than 2E Discipline problem : A -None so far. Consistent in passing up work. Students : A - Good and reliable monitor, funny unique characters around; Mun Chun, Sherlyn, Rodney, Faiq,Nicholas See. Likeable people aplenty; Benedict, Amirul, Adeline, May Hor, Brenda, Cheryl, Yee Teng, Justin. Scrap Books : A - Consistent if not over-elaborate. Has the most full-marks out of the 4. The best penghargaan ever came from this class. Lol.
2 Genesis Likeabality : B- - Not bad at first. But not very nice in the end Noise Level : D - Worst. Can be extremely noisy. Discipline problem : C+ - Not as good as the previous two, more late books than usual. Students : B+ - Generally good monitor, funny characters; Kevin, Julian, Chung Heng, Pek June, Shankara, Tze Ching. Has the best bunch of Malay girls. Scrap Books : A- - Not bad. Generally good and consistent.
2 Midori Likeabality : B- - Not very nice honestly, but okay in the end. Noise Level : A - Quietest of the lot, but potentially noisy too. Discipline problem : B - Worse of all in passing up books, but still they are plenty of good students here. Students : B - Mostly quiet, monitor is reliable but crazy sometimes. Lol. Brenda Maggie Karling Xinyin are the standouts Scrap Books : B+ - Few impressive ones, but generally okay. The only class with students who did not pass up.
Marking scrap books was fun but I had the feeling I know how Simon Cowell feels now. Lol.
PJ was absoulute fun! (except for sukantara) Playing football twice a week was one of the moments I enjoyed most, except for the one moment Pn. Sarina came to interfere. (b.i.t.c.h.) Students are really good as well, which makes it more fun to play.
Here are some pictures I took on the last day..
Nicholas Kok can't believe I'll finally go. Lol
The 'best' handwriting ever

Casino Royale |
To be honest I have lived in the Pierce Brosnan era, so I was initially disappointed with Casino Royale. Watching the past Bond movies (Diamonds Live Forever, Live and Let Die, The Man With The Golden Gun, A View To Kill) however have changed my perception about Ian Fleming's secret agent. I agree with the common view that Daniel Craig is much too blond to play the 007.
Casino Royale differs significantly by the lack of ridiculous gadgets, focusing more on the formative years of Bond, how he attained double zero status and how James Bond grew into his character as a suave, aggressive and chauvinist man. I personally thought the Texas Hold 'Em poker game was intriguing, but the 'Bond Girl' role, Vesper Lynd, was more typical than usual, making lots of love before ending up betraying him yet helping him in a way.
The Aston Martin DBS too didn't feature much, except for the part where he overturns the car to avoid crushing Vesper. M, however played a more important role compared to past Bond films. Overall, it was something different, which was good.

Independence Dinner |
Dinner at Carrie's place was just the perfect way to celebrate the end of our torturous journey. More importantly, those who attended the dinner were the very 4 people who made my form 6 life a meaningful one at the very least.
Rushed home after exam, bathed, then rushed to Kasthuri's place to fetch her, then Viwa, then Tommy. Rain was damn heavy, winds up to 40kph; but I was early for the first time! Jam was crazy. 1 hour just to take us from Bdr Tun Razak station to Tasik Selatan Station. Had to stop by at Shell for some refreshments since Tommy hadn't ate since morning. Haha.
Food was yummylicious; prepared by Carrie's aunt. Sotongs and prawns had no choice but to end up in our stomachs since they were too yummy. Haha. Left the cam in the car so didn't have much chance to take pics.
Carrie looks sweet Tommy and Viwa Kasthuri caught red-handed No, I'm not eating it.. Cake cutting time Before : After : |
